The BAD Mood

On a day when I of all people wake up like Suzy Sunshine, why is the rest of my home under a dark cloud? I woke up cheerfully to my husband bitching that there is no coffee and that I spent the grocery money on christmas (which I did not by the way), my son complaining that I won't let him eat candy canes and nutella for breakfast, and the spoiled dog not wanting to go out to the bath room in the snow!

So I say, let's go sledding!!!!! To which my grouchy ass husband replies, not once, not twice but three times that we can go sledding if I go out side and shovel the cars out of the drive way. So I put a smile on and said, "nope!" I am going to clean the house, do laundry, and buy groceries online, and you my grouchy friend can go out and do the shoveling." Maybe you will come back inside in a better mood (hint hint).

Next I procede to do all I said, my son wants to go out and play, I supervise his bundling, because a seasoned mother knows very well that a kid is not going to put on gloves, hat, coat, scarves and boots, with out being told along the way! Peace at last! Both grumps are outside and I am free to vacuum to my hearts content!

So the next thing I know both grumpos are tromping through my freshly vacuumed floor with wet snowy boots right after I ordered both of them to take them off outside!!!! UUUUGH! Good mood is fading!! Okay deep breath, all is not lost, the grumpy husband goes back outside and heads to dunkin donuts !! Maybe he will come back a new man! My son on the other hand had literally stripped from the back door to his bedroom leaving a trail of winter apparrel as he goes. I holler at him to pick it all up and what do I get? FRESH MOUTH!!!!!! I am still in a good mood believe it or not, so I have no urge to grab him by the back of his shirt and hurl him into his room.......YET.

Husband's back, and.....apologizes for being a TOOL!!!!! All is not lost, and I still love him today! He goes back out side. I mopp up more snowy slopp thats been tracked in, and am doing laundry when the son comes in crying and wimpering saying "waaaaahhhhh my hands hurt!" Let me guess, you went outside with no gloves, I yell from another room. "Yeah but..." Yeah but nothing, run your hands under warm water, that's what you get for not wearing gloves! " This would have happened anyway, the gloves wouldn't have helped my hands be warm mom!" I have absolutely no response to that other than quietly laughing and shaking my head, some lessons just have to be learned on there own!!!!! I look at him, not only does he not have gloves, ha ha ha, he doesn't have a coat, hat, scarf or boots on either!!!! Why do we nag again?

So I ask both of them when they finally come in if they would like to go sledding and I get fifty reasons why we cant go, the snow isnt good sledding snow, blablabla bla bla....what ever this is what I get for being in a good mood today apparently lol!!! Tommorrow better be a nicer kinder day! :)
